The Bottom Line: Don't buy a Beautyrest--the mattresses have a defective design and the warranty is worthless. The company has not intentions of standing behind defective products.

After owning Simmons beautyrest mattresses for thirty years and currently owning 5, I would warn buyers not to buy the No Flip mattresses, especially in the larger sizes. Also, I would warn buyers that Simmons has a worthless warranty and has no intentions of replacing defective mattresses.
We bought a king size mattress in May 2000 recommended by a Simmons company representative who was at the store that day. The $1400 mattress was first down from top of the line with a very plush attached pillow-top.
At first it was quite comfortable, but within a year it began to have depressions.
After three years, the depressions make it impossible to sleep without pain. We contacted Simmons, and they sent a inspector out. He didn't even press on the mattress. The new warranty says the impressions must be over 1 1/2 inches. He simply ran a tape measure over the top and measured down. BECAUSE OF THE PERMANENTLY ATTACHED PILLOW-TOP, THE DEPRESSIONS DON'T SHOW UP FULLY. Simmons just sent a form letter saying the company wouldn't replace the mattress. I think they deliberately design the mattress with an attached pillowtop so that the full depth of the depressions is hidden and word their warranty in such a way that consumers can't get satisfaction. They are not interested in whether the mattress is actually defective.
I have noticed other reviews where consumers have had similar experiences both with the mattresses and with the warranty. I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER Simmons mattress and warn others not ot.
