| jillrashel's Full Review: Simmons Beautyrest Mattress |
I purchased the Simmons Beautyrest Mattress approximately two years ago. I was on the hunt for a queen size mattress that was affordable, I was on a strict budget. I shopped everywhere, and was just about set on buying a $100 set from some guy in the paper...but then my grandmother (an angel in disguise) sent me $500 to use for anything I needed for my new apartment. Oh by the way...my boyfriend had just kicked me out of our apartment and I had nothing...but that is another subject all together!
So off I was to find a deal. I had received a Levitz ad in the mail and they advertised a mattress for $250 and the boxspring for $1. When I got there and laid on the mattress it well...wasn't pretty. I told the lady my budget and she showed me the Simmons Beautyrest once I laid on it I knew my searching was over. Only problem, it was about $300 over my limit. They say you can't put a price on your comfort, but when your 18 and living single...it's pretty easy.
But alas, she insured me that the mattress would be going on sale the following Sunday! Horray! So I got a deal, bought the mattress and had it delivered.
You know how after you sleep in a certain be for so long it begins to make your back ache and you toss and turn? Well in the two years I have owned and slept in this bed I have never had that feeling. When my bed was in storage for 3 months, I could not wait to have it back. It is comfort beyond comfort A Gift From God.
I think the way the explained it to me was it is made with coils, individual coils, I explain to my friends, it's the bowling ball bed. You know the commercial with the bowling ball and the pins next to it that don't fall when you drop the ball?
My sheets fit the bed fine, it is a standard queen. It is very heavy and tough to move on your own. It generally takes two people to flip. Over two years the only wear is that of me moving 3 times and trying to transport my bed. (When I moved from California to Pennsylvania my dad begged me to let my ex-boyfriend buy it but I just couldn't do with out!)
I get very achey pains in my lower back, before this bed I had waterbeds, softsided waterbeds, sealy posterpedic, and a variety of other mattresses, but this is the only one I can sleep in each and every night with out the pain. IT is amazing.
