The Bottom Line: If you're looking for an inexpensive, reliable, sturdy treadmill that's easy to set up and move around, I highly recommend the Smooth 5.0! I really LOVE mine!

I had been shopping around for a good, reliable, inexpensive treadmill for a few months…I looked in retail stores, through fitness magazines, online…I just couldn’t seem to make a decision! Finally, a friend introduced me to epinions.com, and together, we researched treadmills on this website! I was impressed with the reviews written by consumers! The way I see it is that the consumer is going to be upfront about the products they purchase!
When I read the review on the Smooth 5.0, in my heart, I knew that this was the treadmill for which I’d been searching! I investigated this treadmill further and decided to go for it!
I have used treadmills in various gyms. But, it’s so nice to be able to use my own treadmill, in my own home! And, I really am pleased with the Smooth 5.0! I love the fact that I can fold it up and store it in a smaller place than I could the average treadmill! It has casters that allow me to store in the closet when I have company.
It feels very solid beneath my feet, and I am thrilled about that! I really like the controls for speed and incline on the side rails! I can adjust my speed and incline easily, without interrupting my pace! Other bonuses that caught my attention in the review I read were the tray for the water bottle and the slots for holding a book, a CD, or whatever! I like to sip water during my workouts, and I enjoy reading, as well! These features are really convenient for me! And, of course, no treadmill is complete without the calorie/distance counter!
The set-up was a breeze. Actually there was not set-up. Rolled it out of the box, plugged it in and it was ready to go. It took about a week to get delivered, which was sooner then I expected.
The one drawback is that delivery is back of truck. Have a strong friend or two to get it in the house, or you can pay extra to have delivered in your house.
All-in-all, I am quite pleased with my purchase of the Smooth 5.0! I would recommend this treadmill to anyone who is looking to buy a sturdy, inexpensive, and space-saving treadmill! It’s well worth its price! But, if you’re looking for a heavier, more expensive treadmill…this one probably isn't for you!
