| bdlee's Full Review: Sony Ericsson LX-788 Cell Phone |
I bought the Eriksson LX788 about 1 ˝ ago and have found the overall this phone is OK at best. I have had very little problems with clarity or connectivity. I travel extensively and rely on this phone often. I use this phone on a regular basis up to ten times a day. I have been in very rural setting and have been able to complete roughly 90% of my calls, and I usually receive a clear signal.
I have had some major problems with the durability of this phone. After about three months the antenna broke off and had to have the entire phone replaced. I bought another Ericsson LX788 and again the same thing happened – the antenna broke off after about 3 to 4 months of use. I usually keep the phone attached to my belt or in my pocket, so this could be a result of where I have it placed. I have also experienced poor battery life with this phone. The batter maybe last 10 hrs and as a result I had to purchase another battery.
This would be a good phone if you do not use it often. You will always be able to make the call when you need it, but over time, it may not last with heavy use.
