Pros: Looks hi-tech
Cons: Poor screen contrast, doesn't work with other Sony components
The Bottom Line: I read a lot of glowing reviews for this product, in my particular case it didn't work.

| csembro's Full Review: Sony RM-AV3000 LCD Touchscreen Remote Control |
All my components are Sony except for my digital cable box. My biggest disappointment was over the lack of support for my Sony DAV-C990 receiver/DVD changer. I guess none of the Dream Systems are directly supported. None of the preset codes supported my component. I suppose I could go in by hand and teach it the codes, but it's just too much hassle for a $200 remote. Until they put a USB connector on this thing the codes will be out of date before it ships. I was disappointed by the amount of support for my other Sony components. For instance, I didn't look like it would let me program my VCR.
Finally I found the display really hard to read, both in normal and dim light. You can configure it to turn the backlight on for every button press, but you still need to be able to see that first button. Attempting to adjust the contrast didn't help.
