This is the first time I stay in South Pacific Hotel and found it to be nice and comfortable for the value. Here is my review.
Location
The hotel is located close to major shopping area (Causeway Bay) but far enough from all the people and noises. There is a market next to the hotel so you can always buy fresh fruit, with convenient stores nearby for other stuff. Supermarkets are within walking distance for bigger needs. Restaurants and bars are abundant falling within for all budget levels. To go around town all the major transportation options are available within several minutes of walking. MTR (underground train) is about 10-15 minutes walk depending on how crowded the street is. Going to and from the airport I would recommend Hotelink (coach service) as it stops at the hotel door front, is very comfortable and not overly expensive.
Room
The room is on the small side, but this is HK afterall and space is always at premium! I still have enough room to put 2 large suitcases and 1 large travel bag lying around though. Despite the size it is clean, well maintain, and only shows minor sign of wear. The room is quiet and for my 4-night stay I rarely hear anything from the street or neighboring rooms. The bathroom is of reasonable size but the bathtub is quite narrow. I would prefer to have a shower stall instead. I was assigned a smoking room because non-smoking room was full, but I did not detect any residual smell.
Service
I found the service to be responsive and polite, from the moment you step off from a taxi / shuttle bus / whatever all the way until you leave the hotel. I really can't find anything to complain in this area. When I mentioned I would like a non-smoking room upon check-in, the front desk tried to accommodate me to their best.
Facilities
I did not use any of the facilities but judging how the hotel was managed I trust they are up to reasonable standard.
