Pros: Some great graphics, good chase scenes, nice concept
Cons: Syrupy love story, graphic Yoda, not enough plot development
The Bottom Line: I would see it simply because it's a Star Wars movie. But be prepared to be disappointed!

My wife and I just saw this movie over the Memorial Day weekend, and we both left the theater disappointed. Let me sum up what we thought to be the good and the bad.
The Good
* Excellent chase/fight scene in an asteroid belt. The graphics were amazing, as were the sound effects.
* Cool concept for the Camino planet (where the clones are being grown). We totally loved the rain-swept city in the midst of the boiling ocean!
* Nice battle at the end...though a bit unrealistic!
The Bad
* Hayden Christiansen can't act. We had a very hard time believing that he was full of anger and angst like he's supposed to be. He simply wasn't believeable, and that made his performance terrible.
* The lovey-dovey stuff between Anikan and Amidala has GOT to GO! It felt like we were watching an episode of Felicity or Seventh Heaven instead of Star Wars! For pete's sake...do we really need a scene with them running through a grassy field, falling on each other in an awkward embrace! The only thing that could have saved the scene is if one of the tick-looking animals ate them!
* Yoda...not a puppet anymore, but totally computer generated. We miss the old Yoda.
* More Yoda...he sure can move, as demonstrated in his little light saber battle. Totally unbelieveable, and the audience was laughing the whole time. Star Wars is NOT a comedy.
* Jar Jar...much better than in the last movie, but how did he get so much power!
* There are some adult situations, as well as "scary" creatures, that may not be suitable for all kids.
Overall we were quite disappointed in this movie. It seriously seemed like a show that belonged on the WB Network instead of a serious contribution to the Star Wars saga. Let's get back to the old formula of the first three episodes, where the characters are more solid, and there's more action.
Despite all these flaws, you should make an attempt to see it in the theater. After all, Star Wars, good or bad, needs to be seen!
