Very Unhappy With C80 Printer

Pros: Was recommended highly by many people.
Printed well in black and white and in color.
Cons: My Epson C80 didn't perform for long--quit printing 6 months after warranty expired.
The Bottom Line: I would not recommend the C80 printer because it stopped working in such a short time period. Epson no longer sells it.

My Epson C80 performed very satisfactory for a limited time but there were some irritating features before it quit printing. The ink leaked and filled the well to overflow. I had to clean it with many Q-tips. There was no information about this well in the instruction book. When I printed greeting cards, the corners of the trailing end of the card coming out of the printer got ink marks. I had to wipe clean the printer inside whenever printing cards to prevent this from happening.
Six months after the warranty expired, my C80 quit printing.
Epson recommended a place to take my printer for a fix. It cost me $45 to have them look at it to see what was wrong. A few days later, I was told that the main board was damaged and that replacement part would cost $105 and $15 labor. I did not get it fixed.
I wrote a complaint letter to Epson and they replied and said that if I buy another Epson they would send me a set of ink to offset the $45 diagnostic cost.
