I have long hair. No ... really. It's loooong. It's also color treated (okay - I admit, I cover my gray). AND (yes, it gets worse) I live in a very dry area.
Result? My hair can be brittle and dry at the ends. Splits and breaks are really common for me, and I suspect... for many others as well. I was frustrated with trying to find a product that moisturized and fixed the damage without weighing my hair down like an anvil.
My miracle solution is Tigi Bed Head's Self Absorbed Shampoo and Conditioner.
The shampoo is great! It has a mild citrus scent and a thick rich lather that really does the job. It rinses cleanly, and unless my hair is really dirty, I don't need to later, rinse, repeat. :)
Self Absorbed is infused with a multi-vitamin mix of A, B2, B5, D3, and E. These vitamins literally absorb into your hair, providing nourishment to even the most damaged hair.
The shampoo leaves my hair and scalp feeling healthy. My hair is shiny, and not brittle, despite my low-humidity habitat.
Tigi suggests a retail price of $8.95 for a 12oz bottle, but normally, I find it from around $10.50 to $12.00. It is supposed to be only available in salons, but I have been recently finding Self Absorbed, and a few other Bed Head products in my local grocery store. (not that this means it is any cheaper).
Tigi products are not tested on animals (a fact that would be beneficial to print on the bottle, don't you think?). But at least they care enough to put the information on their website. :)
