| kimberlyrose's Full Review: Tangiball |
The Tangiball is a Clearish teal rubber with little nubs all over it make this easy to grip. It has a light smell of vanilla that does not seem to fade with age. It also squeaks through a hole and fills up fast with air so you can squeak it again. This is a key point if you have a baby that likes to squeak it, thus blowing air at himself as he lets out the cutest giggle.
7 years ago my daughter got this toy as a gift when she was a tiny baby. I had no idea then what a favorite toy it would be. She still plays with it. When we found out we where having another baby I wanted to make sure he had the best so off I went to find this ball and see what other great toys the company has. We now have 2 of these balls. The older one, still in almost new condition, smelling and looking great (The color is a little lighter then the newer ones) and one for our son. Plus one still in the box as an emergency gift as it fits so many ages!
Why do I call this a gift for all ages? Last fall we went to a corn maze with a community group. A friend had brought this ball for her 12 month old. I saw an older couple playing with it back and forth in the shade and one mentioned how much they wish they had a ball like that as kids. I saw a middle aged soldier mindless turning it over and over in his hands de-stressing while watching over the kids till his wife snuck up on him and snatched it away only to have the teenagers take off with it into the maze. The wife, me, could not keep up. It got messy.... so very messy that day. I do not think that poor little girl got to play much with her ball, serves her right for falling asleep right? LOL All the older kids borrowing her toys? That day I knew I had to get another one and find more great toys.
So now after that long story, I will say that this is a toy well worth the money. Some toys just are. Unlike most of the cheaper ones, I believe the company has a return policy and a money back warranty as well. A $10 toy that has lasted us 7 years? Yes, thats worth it.
Cleaning it. DISHWASHER! No, I have not tried it myself as I do not have one but the Mama of that ball that went to the corn maze cleaned it this way and it looked great after. I put ours in the tub with my daughter if they need a washing and between her and a wash cloth, all clean.
After 7 years this toy still smells and looks great! Not many toys can do that in my house.
We all simply love it.
