After months of research online and at specialty stores(Healthy Back/Mattress Professionals/Sleepys') we decided to bite the bullet and go with Tempurpedic.
Let me put it very simple:
Best store to see, touch and test all the mattresses available today on the market?
Sleepy's
Did we buy it there? No!
Commissioned salesman too pushy and prices too high.
If you want to test it to see if Tempurpedic is for you or not, order directly from the manufacturer and sleep 3 months on it for free, in your house, and only spend $250 for return shipping if you don't like it, not $2,500 for the whole thing.
We got the Deluxe model, because it was the firmist of them all, and they do get a little softer with the time.
Price? Close to $2,000 at local furniture store in the 17201 zip code.
Smell?Yes, for the first 3 days.Leave it in a room by itself with the windows open and a fan on it.Leave it there for the full 3 days , do not try to use before that or you will get sick.Any smell after a year of use?None
Overall, pleased with the product, i still say Ahhhhh....when i lay in bed.
Winter time gets colder.Solution:buy a feather bed.It does not alter the quality of the bed, it enhances them.
Summer time , too hot.Solution : put a whool blanket underneath.
A company that makes a bed from 100% natural latex and pure virgin wool and cotton cover?ENGLENDER,just $200 more.
If I had to go out tomorrow and purchase a new mattress, i will buy the Englender, and if they don't have it, then i will buy Tempurpedic again, and get the King size and the more firm one.
