At first I was completely unimpressed with this book. It seemed basic and was not the information I expected on investing and saving. I was rearing to go! I had no idea that my view of finances was so skewed.
I wanted the nitty girtty to stretch my pennies. As I read further into it I realized that stretching my pennies wasn't my problem, it was stretching my MINDSET that made the changes!
You'll learn about the freedom of a defined budget and debunk the myth of it being overly confining.
The debt crisis in our country is out of control and the problem is in how we see credit and why we are easily tricked into spending beyond our means.
This book provides a complete shift in thinking of how money works and how to take the fear and control out of the situation. How to replace the former control with basic, sound principles that change lives. By giving up the fear and seeing money for what it is I was able to focus on becoming debt free without being attached to shame and an addiction to 'have'. And the concepts were laid out so simply! I am no longer overwhelmed by it all. My money and my mind were made-over by this book!
I have now purchased this book as a gift for several people in my family and we will all be moving forward with a different motivation and wisdom learned from this book.
