Kittyokc's Full Review: Votoy Vo Toys Glitter Rope Balls 2 Pack Cat Toy
When we adopted our newest cat Reva back in June, we got a discount on a bunch of toys and these Vo Toys Glitter Rope Balls were one of the items we picked out.
These are just simple little balls for your cat to play with. They are a little bigger than the sponge balls, but they are still small enough to roll under the couch where you have to retrieve it for your cat. I'm not sure of the exact type of rope they use, but the rope is thin and alternates in color as the picture shows, like stripes and you really don't see any seams. The glitter, as they call it seems to be in the rope, not sprinkled on and I haven't found any little specks of glitter around the house, so it doesn't seem to come off. The pack we picked up had the red and white alternating colors, like the one shown in the picture, but the other one was more of a yellow-green and white as the colors.
These weren't as much of a hit with Frisky as they were with Reva, he'll watch you roll it across the floor and that's about it, he just doesn't seem interested in playing with them. Reva, on the other hand, will chase after them and play with them if you roll them across the floor and sometimes even play with them on her own.
Because of the rope texture, the balls can get caught on your cats claws, which makes it easy for them to fling the ball, although they have to give their paw a shake to get it off. If your cat doesn't have extra sharp and pointy claws, these shouldn't get stuck as easy as they do with Reva. Unlike the sponge balls, these are harder, but not too hard and you'll hear a thud or whack when it hits the wall or anything hard. Don't worry, they aren't hard enough to cause damage and we have no dents in the wall from these.
Unfortunately, like all small cat toys, especially balls, these can get lost easily, under the couch, bed, recliner, etc. That is the situation we are in now, Reva's favorite one, the yellow-green and white colored one is currently missing. This is the one she seems to prefer to play with, I don't know why, but the red and white one doesn't catch her interest in the same way even though they are exactly the same except the color.
If your cat likes to play with balls, you may want to give these a try, they really aren't bad and for a little over two dollars for two, it's not too expensive.
