| Bryan_Carey's Full Review: Website Magazine |
Have you always wanted to own and operate your own web site? Many people have, but they procrastinate to the end and never realize their dream. Worse, some people purchase a domain name but either don't take the necessary steps to establish the web site or don't know how to promote once the site is up and running. One publication that helps web site owners with all aspects of the web domain and management process is Website Magazine, a publication for web site success. Basic Contents of This Magazine: Each issue of Website Magazine contains about 50 pages with regular departments such as: Top 50 Who's Who SEO Corner Conversation Cache Issues also include other departments on periodic basis, such as Success Corner, Findability Makeover, and others. In the remaining pages of Website Magazine, the reader can expect to find about six to ten featured articles about websites, their creation, maintenance, promotion, etc. Online Information/Subscription Pricing: If you want to learn more about this magazine, the place to consult on the world wide web is websitemagazine.com. The web site lets curious visitors learn more about the magazine and what it has to offer. In addition, subscriptions are offered free of charge to qualified individuals. Final Thoughts: Web site ownership is a common goal for many individuals but the idea of owning a web site is also a little scary. What should one do to promote the site? What services exist to help build and optimize the site? How does one establish a credit card account to facilitate transactions? These are all important, valid questions and Website Magazine is ready to answer them. This publication is all about making the most of your web site; optimizing everything from its appearance to the number of visitors it tallies up each day. I own a few different web sites and I have consulted many different publications for help with my web site growth and promotion. I usually use the internet for this purpose, but Website Magazine has also been useful for advice on this topic. Website Magazine keeps readers informed on important concerns such as marketing, search engine placement, competition, regulations, and more. This magazine is all about web site improvement and optimization and it wants to help the reader find new and practical ways to increase web site traffic, expand business, etc. One thing about Website Magazine that makes it a little different is the briefness of its articles. This magazine tends to go for writing that is short and to the point. Most every featured article is finished in two pages and they often include lists, bullet points, etc., much like a reference guide. This makes for some choppy reading and sometimes incomplete advice. Lists are fine for some things, but a more complete, well- written article is better for others. Some subjects require a good deal of space but Website Magazine still keeps these and other articles like them confined to two pages or less. I would prefer a little more in- depth coverage than the short articles offered by Website Magazine, but the quick, to-the-point approach could be exactly what some people are looking for. Because Website Magazine attempts to cover so many facets of web site ownership, many parts of the magazine will have no relevance to some readers. For myself, I have no interest in the articles about payment methods and other things because I don't offer these services in my own web sites. I usually skim over these and head to the Top 50 List or the many articles on web site promotions. Marketing a web site is among the magazine's most common themes and there are usually several articles that discuss this subject. Website Magazine is a short publication with only about fifty pages in each issue. There aren't many advertisements and the few advertisements that exist usually sell web site design services, payment solution services, and other related things. I like the limited advertisement space, but it would be nice if the magazine was a little longer. With only fifty pages, it almost reads more like an extended newsletter than an actual magazine. Overall, I am lukewarm toward Website Magazine. I would likely not pay for a publication like this because it is too short to offer anything substantial. However, the magazine is offered free of charge to many users and when you consider that some of the advice is good and very timely, there are enough positive factors to give this magazine a small recommendation.
