Pros: ecomonical, good settings, can do seventeen pair of jeans at once or comforters.
Cons: professionally moved and installed, he detergent and the measurements are wider then normal.

I would recommend this because it's economical and saves time. I will never buy anything but the whirpool front loader washer. I would also highly suggest the pedestals, also.

I recieved my front loader washer back in January 2008. I bought this product because consumer reports showed that it was economical and could do 17 loads of jeans in one load!
I have love the front loader whirpool washer for several reason. One, it saved us 800 dollars a year between the utility bill and laundry mat. I have saved money on my electric bill that equals to about 480 a year. Then I save money because I was doing my comforters and sheets average twice a month at a laundry mat.
I also love my front loader whirpool duet washer because it has so many settings and saves time. It has hand wash, delicate, normal, bulk, rinse only, rinse and spin, soak only, and then just a wash for after the soak. No more running to the washer to take something out, or sitting at my sink and doing it by hand.
There a temperature setting include hot, normal, warm, cold.
Then there's also the setting for sound off or on for cycle or button. This works greats when you're sleeping and don't want the buzz. BUt for me the buzz is nice during the day and I"m busy and need a reminder to switch. The button is so you don't have the beep when fixing the setttings.
Also, there's the spin speed. Which is great for those hand wash items that can't be rung out tight. But for bulky the fast spin is awesome so that it comes out almost dry which makes drying much easier.
I also have the whirpool front loader duet dryer. and recommend that as well.
I can't forget about the soil setting. You have very soiled, slightly soiled and normal. It's great if there's a stain because it adds another wash in there without me thinking about doing it. I love this feature and it's great if you have kids!
However, a drawback that I have found is the whirpool front loader measurements are wider then top loaders. This could become a potential problem for small space utlitity rooms. However, they do have stackable ones!
The other downfall is that you must be He detergent. If you don't use the he brand then you can gum up the lines and ruin your washer. There's not as many brands to choose from and they can be pricey. On the other hand, you use only a quarter amount compared to regular. So it the long run it saves money.
The last con I have found is that if they need to be moved, they have to be professionally installed for whirlpool to cover the warranty. The drum is sensitive and breaks extremely easy only when moved. They're sturdy and wonderful once properly installed.
Also, I bought the pedestals to go with my whirlpool front loader washers and love them. They help with the height for back issues and gives you lots of extra storage!
When my friends and family see my whirpool front load washer and dryer I become the envy of everyone. They're like a part of the family I can't imagine my life without them!
