LILvoyce's Full Review: Worldwide Sports WSN Pure Protein bar- Smores 12 b...
I swear, I am going to try every low-carb, high protein, low-sugar bar out there until I find the "one." One that tastes great, and loaded with everything I am looking for in a sports bar. I want taste, as many proteins, and vitamins you can pack in a sugar free, low-carb bar as possible. Is that so hard?
Pure Protein Bar Smores
Lets talk about taste first.
UMMM.. Honestly this bar taste great during the first bite, and first 6 or 7 chews. When that artificial flavor goes away that is in the marshmallow topping, the bar become bitter, and then almost impossible to stand. It then taste like bland vitamins, and becomes very gritty in the end. Bleck.
The outside chocolate looking coating around the bar tastes fine. The first layer of marshmallow taste great. It is the second layer that just doesn't match the first. I gather that is where all the protein is hiding. It is very chewy in the beginning, then feels like it turns to sand in my mouth. I ended up eating the marshmallow white topping, and throwing out the rest of the bar. I couldn't stomach it.
It was too heavy on my pouch as well. (Am a gastric bypass patient.) It left my tummy feeling less than happy. It just did not agree with my system, and too harsh on my stomach. I had problems digesting this bar.

My thoughts
I am not a dietician, but to me these percentages seem a bit lower than most bars or shakes I have tried. Be sure to double check your percentages desired compared to what is in the nutritional fact list.
The 19 grams of protein is what attracted me to this product to begin with.
Price
These bars were on sale for only $1 at my local grocery store. They were trying to get rid of them. No wonder they were so inexpensive. They did not taste like smores in the slightest. I am so glad I did not pay more.
Warnings
I barely noticed on the package that there were directions when eating this bar. "Adults, for best results drink 8oz of water or other liquid with this bar." I could not read the ingredients of this bar, even with a magnifier. Be sure to check out what your consuming if you can read it. Why do they make the print so small?
Allergy Information Contains milk, soy, wheat and peanut ingredients
Overall
I just can't buy this bar again. I know that most of these bars don't taste perfect and it is hard to cover the protein, and vitamin taste, but this has just an awful aftertaste. I have found other bars with better quality in my nutritional expectations. Normally I will accept taste imperfections, but when I just down right can't stomach the taste, then I won't recommend it all all to other people.
