I recently bought this book because I had to choose a book to read for my Chemistry class and this book seemed very interesting on many levels. One being I am very interested in the Geological history of the Northeastern united states. Another being that I live in the Northeastern united States and i am very interested in this area. In this book i learned all about how geologic evolution controls climate and life, what events precipitated the ice age, and probably most importantly, how the Northeast fits into a dramatic piece of global changes. The authors Chet Raymo and Maureen E. Raymo really did a terrific job writing and illustrating this book, they really make all the information easy to understand and comprehend. The only weak parts of this book is that sometimes they really dumb down all the information and it makes the book boring to read. One of the things i loves about this book is that after reading this, it gave me a sense of how important the Northeastern United states is to the world. I would definitely recommend this book to any reader who is interested in this topic, but if you live in the Northeastern United states I would really recommend this book. It will give you a sense of pride for living in this area, and it will really make u feel important. In conclusion, this book is a must read no matter where you live, after reading this, you will understand how important Northeastern United States is to the world. AMAZING!
