I am writing this, like many other products, because I want other people to know about it. I love my Dyson, as do my family members. I love Sony products. I love "Akira", "Ghost in the Shell", and "Spirited Away"; and I want the rest of the world to share in my love of those things (as well as my disappointment in a few things as well.) Epinions has given me the platform to do just that. Well I stand on this platform to share another product that has made a big difference in my life recently, Xango. Is it a cure all or a perfect solution? Not quite, but it has made a difference and Xango works.
Update In what I felt was an impersonal letter I decided to stop being a distributor. I didn't make any money off it, rather I spent money on product and a fix yearly payment to stay a distributor. I don't have time to do it right and with this economy I'm not sure I could be successful. Instead I will try some of the mixtures/juices that Costco sells. I've choosen to leave this up as is and you are welcome to try it, just know that it will take a lot of work. Plus I've gotten so much more money and (more importantly) enjoyment. From epinions.com. Ya there's beew squabbles, but those are in the past. So enjoy the read, good luck if you do it. The juice really does work, I'm a living example of that.
"Does Xango work?" or "How I got introduced." I was over at a friend's house, my best friend in fact, and the four of us were talking while the kids were playing. His wife brought up her stay-at-home business and said she felt good about the last 6 months and was hopeful the next 6 months were going to be even better. She had weekly meetings with her teammates and worked hard for 10-40 hours a week. I asked her how much she was making and at first I wasn't impressed. I started to preach the values of Epinions, then saw here eyes glaze over and realized I needed to get off my soap box really fast before my wife hit me with something hard (I'm sure most of us here have done that once or twice, lol.)
(In retrospect I looked at her finances and realized she was increasing her income at a healthy growth from month to month. So from looking at her income that way it was quite good.)
I then asked her what was this thing you are doing? "I've been doing this for a year and you don't know what it is?" and she proceeded to give me that glare. So she pulled out a bottle and said "All I ask is that you try it." I really didn't want to, but I didn't have any choice or polite way out of trying it. In any case, if I did try it, I at least had something her husband and I could harass her about just to see her head spin round and round.
We got home that Saturday and put it in the fridge. I didn't think of it until Monday and decided to try a shot of it. Just two ounces. I just wanted to get our little experiment out of the way. Nothing happened. I didn't glow, didn't get light headed, nothing. So I went to sleep. Took the shot again Tuesday night and continued on with my routine as usual.
Wednesday about Noon I was walking across campus when I noticed my knee was not hurting as much as it usually did. Hua, well that's a blessing. And I continued on my merry way thinking "naw, couldn't be".
That evening I mentioned my knee to my wife. "The Snake Oil is actually working". We both laughed, looked at each other, and I said no way. That juice couldn't possibly work. Not only could I not believe it worked, I couldn't believe it worked that quickly. But I did look at my knee that night and it did look less swollen.
That Thursday evening I wore shorts and the knee did look a lot better. I hit my knee hard, the sharp pain I usually felt was gone. It hurt when I hit it of course, but just as bad as my good knee. I became an instant believer. It was also Thursday that I realized my back was also a little better.
About my back and knee. As some of you Epinions members know from my earlier reviews I have had both back and knee surgeries in the past decade. I pulled out two ligaments from a motorcycle accident and had two surgeries on my left knee to get it right. I had back surgery last spring after a year and a half of therapy, chiropractic, and steroid treatments. I have been in pain in those areas ever since and I expected to be in pain for the rest of my life. Now one thing I need to make clear is that I am not 100% pain free, I would say I am 95% pain free in the knee and 80% pain free in the back due to taking Xango. It is not like morphine that numbs the pain, it is more like an anti-inflammatory, at least I am guessing that is what it does for me, I am not a doctor. But it works better than the pills my doctor gave me. No anti-inflammatory medication ever worked this good.
At Disneyland that following Sunday We have passes and go there regularly with our kids. Coasters are a must of course so the next morning I am usually in a little bit of pain. Well that evening I was not feeling that bad and the following morning I felt great. No back pain to speak of. I was amazed. I even road Indy the day before. That day of abuse confirmed it for me, Xango works.
My heart burn Later on that week, I forgot to take my dosage the night before and I woke up with a bad case of heart burn. This is typical for me. I get this about 1-4 times a month. I went ahead and did a test. I took 4 ounces. Normally I would only drink water or something else calming for the rest of the day, except this time I went ahead and took out a bottle of Pepsi and my coffee just to push and agitate my system. The heart burn went away within the half hour, and even though I was injecting myself with caffeine, it never came back.
As an additional note, I have not had bad heart burn to date ever since taking this product.
What does this say? Well, it is only one experiment and may very well be a fluke. But it appears that the Xango helped with that case of Heartburn. That is the problem with this type of evidence is it is easy to argue against, but I believe it worked for my heartburn.
My sister-in-law's digestive pain. I went on a short cruise with my sister-in-law and her husband this summer (2008). In the morning at Ensenada my sister-in-law was complaining of having abdominal pain. I had 1 oz sample packets with me. As soon as she complained I suggest Xango and she gave it a try. She first took 2 oz (2 packets) and within half an hour she was feeling a lot better. It came back that afternoon, she took 1 oz and it went away again. She was instantly sold on this product (and took several more packets for the following day.) Her holistic doctor told her Xango was a great product and she has used it from time to time since then.
Amount I use I use 2-3 ounces everyday.
Other testimonies I have personally been a part of.
The first person I gave a bottle to was my father. When he worked at G.E. he had an accident while working on a transformer. He fell 15 feet off one onto a steel railroad car. Bounced off that and landed on the ground. Amazingly all he broke was his ankle but he has been in pain ever since. He Finally had it fused about a decade ago and that did help some but still there was a lot of pain that pills just could not take care of. Well after 2 days he started to notice a difference. Like me he was skeptical but continued taking it until he was convinced. Xango does work. He told me to order a case for him.
I gave a bottle to my Father-in-law. His results were not as positive and he felt no great benefit to drinking this. Some of the possible reasons why are he is already taking a lot of anti-oxidants for his back, he didn't take the Xango consistently, or his pain is so great that Xango is of no value compared to heavy duty prescription drugs. I'm not sure but I believe that those people in certain types of severe pain may not benefit from taking Xango. A friend's wife also had some severe back pain and it did not work well for her either.
If you have a condition and you are really interested in this product, you may be able to get a free bottle of Xango if you find a seller in your area and you ask nicely. The Xango website lists distributors in your area.
Am I a seller now? I was and now I'm not. I figured out that getting the word out through the internet is not a viable method. I also do not have the time necessary to market it locally. I also believe that epinions.com will make me more money than this ever can and I enjoy writing for the site.
What does it take to be a seller? You first have to pay the $35 membership fee. Then you have to pay $100, $200, or $500 dollars for your 1st initial shipment (you get 4,8, or 20 bottles) and you can then pay $100 or $200 a month for recurring shipments every month (or 4 or 8 bottles).
The more you pay on your initial shipment the better member perks you potentially can get.
Do I have to be a seller to buy Xango (Mangoseteen) juice? No you don't have to. You can buy the product at a higher price without being a member, but you do not have a recurring shipment you have to keep buying every month. You can buy it off my personal webpage (where I get around 5% profit), you can buy it from the sellers on the bottom of this epinions page (epinions should get something from it), do a search on Google for another seller, or even off of ebay (there are some sellers there and I am sure the company frowns upon this.)
Can I get rich selling Xango? Like can I be a millionaire? I was given a presentation that showed how in six months I could be making around $500 dollars per month and in 12 month about 10 grand per month. So is it possible to get rich? Yes. Realistically? Probably not. My opinion is that you have to be VERY motivated, work 20-40 hour weeks, spend seed money, and (most importantly) sign-up people as highly motivated as you are in your down-line. If you can do this you can be very well off and possibly make 10k a month. If not then you should look elsewhere for a work at home job. But if you have the time, drive, and seed money, it is an option that can work for people with natural salesman skills. I don't have those skills so this isn't a viable option. Short answer? No.(but that's just my opinion.)
If you are not highly Motivated then you will NOT get rich. In that case just look at it as a part time hobby. In that case might I suggest becoming a part time writer for epinions.com instead?
If you do decide to sign up I recommend signing up with only one type of person, someone that is going to help you get started on both feet running. Someone that is willing to spend several hours mentoring you. Do not sign up with someone that just wants you in their down line, otherwise you will just be lost trying to figure out what to do. So throughly research the person you are potentially signing up with.
What is my goal in selling this product? How successful have I been? I have not marketed this and I have no expectations. I will probably cancel my membership shortly.
If you want to make money you need to be motivated. I also believe you should have seed money to do this properly. Be willing to give bottles to people to try. This costs a little bit but it will pay off if you find the right people that can benefit from this product.
How to become an effective Xango distributor. First thing you need is to be part of a team. Selling this product is not something most people can do on their own. Most people do not have the know how, resources, money, or experience to start doing this effectively from day one.
Second, your goal is to sell it to people that really need it (find a way to target your audience.) Do not just randomly advertise, knock on doors, etc. Target an audience. (There is a health side to this business and a business side.)
Third, you need to find people like yourself that are motivated to become distributors themselves. Ideally you just need 3 distributors that are 100% committed, but more is nice. The real secret is how to do this and for each person there is a slightly different approach depending on your contacts, computer literacy, disposable funds, and communication skills.
How does the selling and the business model work? Xango is a multi-level marketing model (MLM). Kind of like a pyramid scheme but legal. The person at the top gets a percentage of the profits from the people below them. In this case it is either 5% or 10% depending on the level. The main difference between this and a pyramid scheme is that this type of pyramid is sustainable and about 45% of the profits goes to the sellers/marketers. You also get paid for product sold, not for people brought in (another key difference between the two systems.) Also, depending on which initial shipment you chose, you can have up to a 9 level down line.
Oh ya, I forgot, bonus money You also get some quarterly bonus money if you are very high up in the company. You also get a 30% or 15% bonus of the first shipment when someone subscribes under you. So if you give away a free bottle to lure people in, that basically covers the free bottle.
But in order to get the bonus money and the percentage from your down-line, you need to be on their monthly buying plan.
If you choose to just be a subscriber for $35 a year but not be a monthly buyer, you can buy Xango for a discount whenever you want and sign people up under you. But you don't get the bonus or a percentage from your down-line until you are a monthly subscriber.
What about the Mangosteen juice? What is doing the real work here? The juice or rind? At first all I thought I was getting was some equatorial super-fruit juice tree that could only grow in warm climates. In fact I was partially right, at 40 degrees and lower that tree dies. (So it cannot grow in the states.) And there is Mangosteen juice in the bottle. but the juice is not the key item in the bottle, it is the rind of the fruit that is the key. It is the rind that has been used as a medicine for centuries to supposedly cure diarrhea, skin conditions, digestive issues, inflammation issues, etc. It has been made into a tea (which I heard is barely drinkable) or rubbed onto the skin. So what you really want is the rind of the plant, although the juice probably does have some helpful properties of its own.
What does Xango supposedly help? This is what the company states. <i> After years of intense scientific study, we now know that Xanthones demonstrate a potent ability to:
Neutralize Free Radicals Support the Immune System Promote a Healthy Respiratory System Support Cartilage and Joint Function Maintain Intestinal Health
The testimonies above support some of these claims.
I have even read things about it reducing the risk of cancer too. Nothing scientifically conclusive, just some stuff done in a test tube.
There is also evidence that it can help heal burns. In one of the marketing literature they show a person that bandaged some of his burns with Xango soaked cloths and others without Xango. Well after a period of time the burns that were treated with Xango looked a lot better then the burns he did not treat.
The two main things it has is talked about again and again in the literature is the anti-oxidants and XANthones. XANthones are found in the rind and are supposedly the main key but (in my opinion) not a whole lot of research has been done on them. Anti-oxidants neutralize free radicals and can be found in various other fruits as well as some medicines but I'm not sure why Xango is so effective compared to other options.
Some interesting thoughts of anti-oxidants are online. We really do not know how our body uses/absorbs them. We do not know if the stomach acids destroy them or if they are easily absorbed. Or even what kinds are absorbed. There is quite a bit of controversy over this and is actually fun to read about on the internet. It is too bad there is not a better base of research out there.
Aroma Mild cranberry grape flavor
Taste There is some bitterness to Xango, but it is not too bad. I assume this is coming from the rind of the mangosteen. There is a bit of sweetness to it. Little red grape and cranberry flavor, hint of apple and strawberry.
About this article This article is basically completed and I plan on only adding testimonies from time to time. Both good and bad. I intend for this article to be a transparent article on the fruit and business. It is here to inform you of the fruit, the selling side of the product, and testimonies of users I or my sponsor are in contact with.
So if you have any questions or comments feel free to leave a comment here in the comment section of this article. If you are interested in some extra income and willing to work for it then this can be a solution for you. You are selling a real product that has real results. If you are unwilling to spend the hours and seed money to do this then I recommend against this opportunity. For me I quite and am excited to try out some other anti-oxidant products.
