Hey, I liked Jersey Girl also, and think it had "actual drama behind it" rather than being "dramatic." And yes, there is a difference.
And hey, I was just happy he did not have any of those naked (never more appropriately so-named than in reference to this film) URLs in the body of the review..!!
Carry on, W.L., whether you be "a chick" or not.

I'd say it's average at best. There was no reason to play it as a mainline romcom when it's clearly trying to be an over-the-top sexual farce.
Jersey Girl is dramatic? It's a tear-jerker.

Hi Chad!
Thanks for the comment (changes for the mistakes you noted have been made - it's been a long couple of days! Thanks!).
I went literally with Epinions for my rating on this one: "Zack And Miri Make A Porno" is definitely an above average romantic comedy. Moreover, it's actually funny which is something I don't see nearly enough of these days.
As for my past Kevin Smith ratings: Jersey Girl is a wonderful film - it's surprising it came from Smith for the actual drama behind it and the way Affleck is actually able to carry the role. Its timing was unfortunate, but it is one that will no doubt do better as time goes by. As for "Clerks II," it makes me laugh. A lot. As for "Clerks," not so much. I was far more bored by it than most and a lot of the elements, like Jay and Silent Bob in it act more like filler than something vital to the story.
Thanks for reading!

Zack and Miri have been friends since kindergarten, not high school.
It's spelled Seth Rogen, not Rogan.
Deacon was the cinematographer and editor, Zack was the director.

I can't believe you're actually arguing that Zack and Miri has some kind of realistic, romantic charm to it. It's completely and totally cliche to the max. I mean, it even has the run to catch the girl at the last minute device. This is the third movie in a row from Smith where he's gone totally mainstream.
Overall, your review was well-written, although it might be a little bloated. Do you write just for online or are you a film critic or a newspaper or magazine, etc?
I find it difficult to take your opinion seriously when you gave the original Clerks 3 stars and Jersey Girl and Clerks II 4 - WTF!?
Well at least you argue your point strongly, that's all that matters,
