ktharris's Full Review: Winnie the Pooh - The Tigger Movie
My husband and I decided to take our 2 children and 2 of their cousins to see this movie the other day. We love Disney films and thought the children would really enjoy seeing a film about the fun loving Tigger.
The film was good. It is the story of Tigger's search to find a family and his desire to fit in somewhere. Tigger is upset that none of his friends in the Hundred Acre Woods is able to bounce like him and suddenly feels a void in his life. As the story unfolds we see how Tigger struggles with his search to find a "family", and how his friends all try their darndest to be what Tigger thinks he needs.
The music was cute. The animation was typical Pooh, but nothing outstanding. The children enjoyed the film, but were not "wowed" by it. The 70 minute running time is good for young childrens' attention spans. I suppose after seeing films like Tarzan and Toy Story 2, this film was a little disappointing. There are no real faults I could cite with The Tigger Movie. As a matter of fact, it sends a lovely message to children about family....I think I would have rather waited for this one to come out on Video and purchased it for our collection. At the cost of $33.00 (matinee price) for the tickets and $32.00 for snacks, I would have liked a little more "bang for my buck". I would recommend this movie for any young child who enjoys the Pooh characters.
