Pros: Well organized, good diagrams.
Cons: The title is misleading. These are classic spreads.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a quick reference for Tarot spreads, this is a good book to buy.

This is a very good book of spreads. All are not *new,* however. They are classic spreads that have been in use for many years. The contents are well presented and organized for easy reference. The major concern of the querent can be easily matched to a spread in this book. However, sometimes these spreads are best used adapted to the specific situation.
The illustrations are basic spread diagrams superimposed over a black and white image of a Tarot card. The cards are from various decks, and reflect the subject of the spread.
This book also contains a little background information to Tarot and the basic meanings of the cards. There is also a very important section on how to use the book.
For those of you searching for new spreads, or a new angle on spread authoring, Illustrated Tarot Spreads: 78 New Layouts for Personal Discovery would be a good addition to your library.
