The Bottom Line: I recommend this album to anyone who likes punk music. If they absolutely "must" like all the songs on an album, then this isn't for them.
themr2man's Full Review: Another Year on the Streets
I bought this album because of the previous one I had purchased from Vagrant Records; Five Years on the Streets. I really enjoyed the Five Years on the Streets album, so I decided to get the "sequel" to it; called Another Year on the Steets.
I am a fan of some of the bands that are featured on the album, so I really enjoy a lot of the music. Some of these bands include; Alkaline Trio, Face to Face, The Get up Kids, and some other artists that I am a fan of. Most of the songs on this album are previously unreleased. Which will feed the eager fans' desire to hear more songs by some of these great artists.
One of the downsides to this album is that I don't really like all of the bands. So, there are songs on it that I usually end up skipping past to get to the songs that I like. This isn't really a big complaint though, since I do that on most albums I own.
This album is similar to Five Years on the Streets; its "prequel". If you like other punk albums, then you will probably enjoy Another Year on the Streets. If not, then don't buy it! I would recommend buying Five Years on the Streets first, as it is "better" in my opinion.
