When I first got this CD player, I was afraid of the fact that the flip down and up mechanism will wear out, and the Best Buy sales representative didn't let it slip my mind, because he was recommending their 3 year warranty on it. Having experienced Sony car receivers in the past, that influenced by buy without extra best buy warranty decision.
As of this writing, it is still performing as the first day I bought it, and the sound is great. Just how great is the sound, when I bought it, I still had my factory installed speakers. The sound that came out was outstanding, that I wasn't inclined to buy quality speakers till 6 months later.
The credit card sized remote compliments the CD player so much, you never have to touch the receiver itself, that is how good the remote is, note, I have the white RX60 remote, which has three more buttons than the black one that is with Epinion's picture.
Apart from the great sound, the display is very clear day or night, looks best at night, and they are very easy to read and understand. The menu system is well laid out, my girlfriend could change settings after playing with it for a few minutes.
One thing I am not so sure is the fact that if the black matrix display is a theft deterrent or not. I know what it looks like, and I can easily identify it when I see it in other peoples car, and I can tell you, I haven't seen many.
