Very good unpopular minivan

Pros: Low used price, fast, handles well, small, sport LX trim looks very cool, reliable
Cons: hitch scrapes, no auto climate, 3rd row narrow and on floor, not a popular car
The Bottom Line: Yes if you don't need a giant minivan, don't want to pay a bunch for a Honda or Toyota

One of the last short minivans, it incorporates the fold-down third row, middle row that slides together and sliding door windows that roll up. At 90,000 miles in May 2008, I've only had an oxygen sensor go at 85,000 ($500) and brake job, better reliability than any Japanese or American car I've ever had. I still have a pair of the original Continental tires up front, good for another year. I have the jazzy LX Sport with the modified sporty styling details. The 200 HP V6 makes it go as fast as a decent V6 sedan, and compared to the Honda Pilot it replaced, I get 21 mpg (compared to 16-18), cost only $15,000 with 1 yr old /22,000 miles (Hertz must have dumped a bunch on the market at once in 2005), it has more room and it's got decent handling. Compared to the Accord, it does sit higher and there's more wind noise, but the V6 drives smoother and the Accord 4 gets 24-25 mpg. Also compared to 96 Dodge grand caravan, the Dodge drove a bit smoother and was roomier, but with rear cargo well, cargo isn't much less, mainly the 3rd row is awfully close to the floor and narrow compared to bigger vans, little kids will find it fine but my kids are nearly grown up size now.
