Pros: Easy controls, Good sound quality, only uses one AAA battery, Easy computer interface.
Cons: No fast forward or rewind. Control dial can easily be bumped. No batter meter.
The Bottom Line: If you ride and want some portable tunes this is it! No skipping, easy to use, easy to play.
**Highly recommend "The Plug" earphones from Koss with this product.

| skarkroe's Full Review: SmartDisk Rover (128 MB) MP3 Player |
I've tried at least a dozen MP3 players for use while riding. Many have worked ok, but have been akward to operate while on the road especially when gloves are involved. Such is not the case with this little winner! It fits neatly in my pocket, and even with gloves on can be easily maniplulated. Load it with up to 32 MP3's and hit the road. Auto-repeats when it's been through all the tracks and if you need to skip a track a simple flick of the dial takes you there. Need to pause, just tap the dial stright down quickly, to stop hold it down for 3 seconds. Volume control is accomplished by rolling the dial up or down and holding. Minor adjustments can be made after the inital roll by flicking the dial.
As you can see all the controls are simple and easily done with your left hand while cruising.
As for durability, the device does seem cheap at first, but you'll find that the plastic holds up well and even riding in the rain seems to have no effect.
Plugs right into USB and appears as a drive in My Computer. Simply drag and drop to copy data.
