| kramerarch's Full Review: Apple iMac Blue Dalmatian 15 in. (M8347LL/A) Mac D... |
The iMac DV Special Edition is a marvel in almost every category. The included Mac OS 9 operating system is such a relief after years of Windows 95 use. The iMac runs programs swiftly from Netscape to Pagemaker. The included 128 MB of RAM is the perfect amount for demanding applications, especially the easy to use iMovie software for digital video editing. The 64 MB on the standard DV model doesn't quite cut it, if you're looking for the digital video capabilities the DV Special Edition is the way to go. Overall this computer is the best computer I have ever owned. I rarely have system shut-downs and programs run very quickly and flawlessly. One of best parts about the iMac is Apple's amazing technical support, if you ever have a problem just call their 800 number and a tech support representative will always pick up on the first ring. The DVD player is a great bonus as well, with easy to use navigation to make viewing a movie a snap. For the money, the iMac DV Special Edition is the best buy you can find, especially in comparison with similarly priced PC's, and even a previous PC owner will be amazed and overly satisfied with the iMac's performance.
