Just opened it up and put it on my desk. Let me start by saying I'm Macintosh person. I own a Blue & White G3, and have a G4 at work. I do use a PC for other things like PowerPoint Presentations, Some lite web work, stuff like that.
This computer is pretty nice, not only does it complement the cool looking style of my G4 but also it really packs a punch. At on $799.00 it's far more than a good deal. Coming from Mac land we never would expect to get a CD writer as part of the system. But YES, the HP packs one in. Duel USB ports are a must, but having one on the front that is a bonus. It's obvious that some designer at HP knows how nice it must be to plug your digital camera right in the front.
The HP packs an AMD K6-2 500MHz processor, 64MB of Ram, and a huge 15GB hard drive. And packed with software.
More Than Ever Expected From A PC.
I opened the box installed a network card and was up and on the Internet in less than 30 minutes. Very cool.
There is only one thing better than the smell of a new car and that is the smell of a new computer.
I have had the computer for 1 hour so far, and have already written an Epinion on it. Does that make me hungry for hits? NO, just impressed with a good product.
I'll follow up in a week with this review to let you know how it's been, but for my first impression, I would say buy one for all you get it's a darn good deal.
