| dawolfmon's Full Review: Samsung SyncMaster 770 17 inch LCD Monitor |
This monitor is awesome. When I was searching for a new monitor I had to consider alot of different things such as space used, cost, and quality (nothing new if you are a smart shopper). I absolutely did not even consider a lcd monitor for those reasons. Well I new it would take up less space for sure, but cost and quality(see below for more on this) I new weren't going to be as good as a crt. I was wrong on those two counts thats for sure.
I would challenge anyone who thinks lcd monitors can't handle graphics to try this monitor it is clear and crisp. As a matter of fact I believe it is of better quality image than my fiancee's 19" Dell Trinitron which I don't even want to talk about what was paid for that behemoth of a monitor. She's now jealous of mine and hey I only paid a couple of hundred more for it.
How do I justify this expense? How often do you buy a monitor for yourself? The monitor I replaced is a Compaq 151 fs (over 10 years old) bought new and used daily til this point. So if I buy top of the line it should last a long time.
I paid under $1000 for this monitor and I feel more guilt for the desk chair I bought than this monitor.
A big bonus is I now have desktop again, not monitor top burning hot papers. I'm sure you can buy a better crt, but if you are concerned over space I reccomend the Samsung 770TFT
