Many people I have talked to always seem to look down on AMD K6 processors, but as a proud owner of one, I beg to differ. Not only are AMD's processors cheaper, in most magazine articles I have read, the AMD products always seem to just edge the pentiums. But I digress, this laptop it great. It has good speed, a good hard drive, and plenty of internet, and word-processing applications. It has a better screen than most other laptops, and if you can afford it, I would recommend it's kind.(The TFT display) My model has 475 mghz, and it is more than enough for most applications. But be warned, if you are looking for any type of 3D graphics, be prepared to upgrade the hardware. The included Video Card does not perform as I thought it would. I ran a few 3D games on it and I still had to set it to software mode to play. But if you have the money to upgrade the video card, you might as well buy a different model. So, if you are looking for a middle of the line, good performance machine, this is they way to go, with a good price, but if you are looking for top of the line gaming, and 3D applications, you are going to have to shell out at least twice the bucks.
