My wife got this computer two months ago. She uses it for Desktop Video. She likes the laptop Sony makes here but it is a little heavy. It does have a great screen and the glass cover over the screen is a nice feature to cut glare and protect the LCD. We added 128MB of RAM so it's got 256MB of RAM in total. We also bought a docking station, and it is running Windows ME.
Nice machine, but heavy. Having a CD-DVD Drive and a CDRW Drive makes for great storage options and also Audio and Video CDs. The Docking Station makes for nice periphial additions. We have a digital video camera from Sony attached to it via Fire Wire and also a digital camera via Firewire. She had a IBM Thinkpad before. This machine is every bit as nice, but it is a lot heavier.
