That I would fall in love with my PDA. I have been a Filofax junkie for the last 10 years and take my organization skills very seriously. A former client gave me Palm V as a present and it changed my life. I learned how to use it and input all of my personal information on one plane ride! The one they gave me was cobranded with Franklin Covey's software (7 Habits). I used that software for about 6 months and found that while some of it was useful there were too many "governing values" for me. I guess I needed less help figuring out what my goals were but just needed to organize my to dos.
I switched to the Palm software a few months ago and really love it. Very easy to use and seems to be very compatible with other PDA's. I have also done some customization such as changing the functions of my buttons so that they shortcut to frequently used applications. I find the memo feature really useful for keeping lists of everything from client files to recipes. I do most of my input on my desktop but think that Grafitti is easy enough to use. The only thing I haven't figured out is how to view multiple users calendars at the same time over our shared network at work.
I have now converted 4 other users to Palm V and taught them all how to use it. I beam them my favorite extras like Pac Man and a cross street detector for Manhattan. I also downloaded avantgo (www.avantgo.com) software so that my Palm gets updates from USA Today, New York Times, etc every time I hotsync. I highly recommend this way of life. It is cathartic to know that your Palm does all the capturing.
I also recommend buying accessories for the Palm. First replace the flimsy cover that it comes with and buy something that will protect it against accidents. Try Levenger or Kitchen Concept for cases. Also Staples sells a great pen/stylus that I find incredibly useful
