Just think if you had purchased a DSL (dedicated service line) you would have been done reading this review by now. The DSL takes away those download times and puts you on track in a split-second, and those of you with aol need to pay close attention to this review.
My roommates had purchased the DSL about two months ago, and after dealing with aol I got tired of being kicked off and slow response time from the internet, I wanted in. I was hooked after only one full day, if you could speed your connection up from the normal 50k to 256k wouldn't you? So I bought a network card ($20.00) and an extra line ($15.00) installed the cd-rom and I was hooked up.
The DSL cost a little more per month, around $48.00, but it's money well spent, and in my case I can split the cost between myself and my two roommates, because one perk is that you can have up to five users off of one hub. In my case the DSL was the best way to go, cable lines are getting big now but the more people that get hooked up within a certain area affects the speed of the line, the DSL does slow down when more lines are running at the same time, but I can hardly notice.
