| BermyRose's Full Review: Worldspy |
Although I have read several reviews here that criticized the now-defunct
WorldSpy's free internet service, I had to find out for myself. I admit that, the first time I tried WorldSpy, I had major computer troubles. That changed, however, due to public outcry, and the service soon became stable and reliable during it's short span.
After many friends have spoken highly of WorldSpy, and after becoming increasingly disillusioned with my current ISP and its ever-rising fees at the time, I decided to give WorldSpy a shot. I'm certainly glad I did! The service ran even faster than the internet provider that was charging me $22.95 a month, was completely unlimited, offered free email and web space, and even had a customer-service number to boot! The revised software was virtually glitch-free, and there was a warning to users of certain older computer systems, alerting them to the fact that WorldSpy might not be compatible with their unit prior to their downloading the software. For the greater majority whose systems did work with WorldSpy, they were free to enjoy one of the best running internet service providers out there at the time. I found the web connections to be much faster and smoother than before, pages loaded immediately, and best of all - it was all free!
When I told folks about WorldSpy's free internet access, they inevitably asked: "So what's the catch?". The amazing thing was that there was no "catch" - just a free, fast, unlimited internet connection that was almost too good to be true. Alas, now it has come to an end, along with many others, but it certainly was good while it lasted!
