Pros: Light, fits snugly to your head, good bass, cheap price
Cons: "Manga" looks, uncomfortable at first while resting your head
The Bottom Line: Light, well-fitting, good sound, I recommend it for active moments, listening to music while running or other workout, moving around or working, anything but resting your head !

| morgat's Full Review: Aiwa HPJ30 Headphones |
I mainly listen to music while running and I like colorful sound. My previous headphones were OK but did not allow a lot of bass to go trough, like many in-ear headphones.
When I found the Aiwa HPJ-30, although their looks would better fit my daughter, I was surprised by their lightness (0.5 oz.) compared to other wrap-around models and by the deep bass they provide. Their low price helped, of course..
Well, their strange design seems to be the reason why the sound is so good, the larger part over your ear is where the bass come from, providing at the same time added comfort where they fit to your head.
The in-ear part fits fine in my ears, they have no padding but feel comfortable over extended periods of time and the wrap around band maintains them firmly but without too much force.
They don't move while running, even off-roads and I forget them fast enough.
Sitting or lying down and resting your head and neck after that long run bring them back fast to memory.
This rear band pushes them in your ears and it takes some time finding the right position for your head.
That's the price to pay for such a good fit and, with some tuning, I even wore them for the biggest part of a 6 hour flight without discomfort.
One added quality for me is there's only one cord, no more untying knots before putting them on.
The plastic quality seems too light at first, but they are supple enough. I sat on them once, put them often at the bottom of a bag and nothing happened yet.
This last can be a pro or a con, but I get a lot of inquisitive looks while wearing them and had to tell once or twice where they come from !
