Pros: VERY Durable
Cons: Sound and earphones
The Bottom Line: It's a good buy, if you're worried about dropping any CD player you buy, get a Shockwave.

| degenx83's Full Review: Panasonic ShockWave SL-SW860 Personal CD Player |
First off, I consider myself as very VERY rough with all the electronics I buy. So far I've dropped my ShockWave on concrete numerous times and it has survived (mostly while I was running). I really can't see many other CD players surviving the thrashing that my ShockWave has been through.
Other than that, I've always liked Panasonic's ShockWave CD players. Although they are bigger than the more popular Sony models or even the other Panasonic models, the SL-SW860 is worth looking at. Unless you have a good place to put it (a big pocket in your jacket) you'll find it rather bothersome to carry around. So before you buy it, go to your local electronic store and look at it's size to see if it fits in any of your pockets.
I also found the battery life very good considering the last CD player I owned was the older Shockwave that absolutely drained by batteries.
