Okay, I go clubbing. So I'm a prime person to give the laydown of any piece of musical equipment. Not to mention I do professional audio mixing. So when I picked up this product, I expected to get my $200.00 CDN worth. Apparently, $200 doesn't get you much nowadays. I am unusually harsh with this product because no matter what bells and whistles it has, if it doesn't sound good, then why get it. First off, at high volumes the sound will distort. This does not have to do with the quality of the headphones, as I tried many other types (all quite expensive and powerful). The CD player itself likes to conserve energy, therefore does not output the amount needed to get good sound at high volumes. The bass boost is therefore useless. Unless you're one of those people who leave their home amplifier at the "1" setting all the time, you won't be satisfied with this product. Certainly a very low quality portable sound system. I'd reccommend another product, but pretty much all the sony discmans out there right now suffer this problem.
