| kstat212's Full Review: Sony Handycam CCD-TR517 8mm Analog Camcorder |
I purchased this video camera on Ebay in March of this year. When I first turned it on, it seemed fine. After about 5 minutes of use, it turned itself off for no reason. When i tried to hook it up to my VCR, the audio was hard to hear and the video would not work at all. The next day, it ate a brand new tape. When i took the tape out and tried another, it did not work. I took it to my local repair shop who charged me $240 to fix it. They said that they get these in for repair often. The only reason I paid to get it fixed was because I paid $129 on Ebay. Circuit City now sells this camera new with 2 year warranty for $249. A hard lesson learned.
