| jlacson's Full Review: General Electric VG4270 VHS VCR |
I saw this GE HiFi VCR for just $65 new and I thought it was a bargain. At least for that moment until I played a movie. The picture quality is not good at all. It doesn't seem like a 4-head vcr. The sound is okay. Fast forwarding and rewinding is really noisy relative to other vcrs. If someone want to take this from me for $35...sold. I only used it a few times and it is just sitting in my garage with the original box and manual. VCRs are quite inexpensive right now, I highly recommend you add a few more dollars and get yourself a Sony, JVC, Panasonic, or others with a better quality.
As far as cosmetic features, it is just as plain as it looks. Initial set up is quite simple so are the connections in the back. If you like quality, features, and sleek design, stay away from GE VCRs.
