| QuickGold's Full Review: Panasonic ShockWave SL-SW870 Personal CD Player |
When I started running to lose some extra pounds, I quickly realized that running is much more fun and less boring if you have some music to listen to. After discovering that I had no cassette tapes with good music on, I knew that I needed a CD player. Luckily for me, my roommate had this unit lying around and its great!
This thing will NOT skip on you! Not once throughout my jog ever has this thing skipped. It keeps its position on the CD with no problem. It boasts a 40 second anti shock memory, but on my 40 minute jogs, it has yet to dissapoint.
Some other great options are the handle it comes with. It attaches to the rear of the unit giving the user an easy way to hold it while running. It's great. My only complaint about it is your palms tend to get sweaty, but thats why we have two hands, I suppose! Also, its memory feature is great. If I turn it off at song 4 on the CD, when I turn it back on, it'll go back to song 4.
It looks and feels very slick. No bad colors or stupid translucency here. It's a nice chrome silver with dark blue. The buttons are positioned well as when Im running, they are easily accessable.
The only drawback is that its not mine! Maybe I'll try buying it off my roommate.....
