My husband and I had talked about purchasing a digital camera for some time when this particular one went on sale at a local department store. While I am not dissatisfied with my purchase, I am not totally satisfied either. It is the perfect camera for basic use and is good for the beginner. The software package that comes with it is easy to use and has some interesting and fun features. The drawbacks are that you have to be very careful about the lighting.....Back lighting leaves the picture looking dark and murky. And, at times, I have had some difficulties loading the images from the camera to my computer. It's a worthwhile investment for anyone who just wants to play and get used to the concept of using a digital camera. But pick your subjects carefully and don't expect prize winning photography.
