| jab70's Full Review: Olympus IS-20 DLX QD 35mm Film Camera |
I've owned it for close to 4 years now and it's easily the best camera I have ever owned. Photos are amazing. From the AUTO feature to the landscape or portrait mode. This camera exudes Olympus quality!
I wish the base package came with the accessory remote control for family portraits. The controls are easy to operate, all within finger reach. LCD panel is easy to read and understand.
The main problem I have with the camera is under low light conditions and focusing. Sometimes the camera will just plain not focus or take the picture because it still thinks that the viewfinder is not focused on the subject. I do wish it had a manual focus ability, but I'll sacrifice for the quality I get from this package.
The date/time stamp is a bonus for categorizing your photos.
Don't skimp on the film either, you'll be glad you paid a little extra for the better quality film roll.
My wife wants to trade the IS-20 towards the purchase of a digital camera, but I think she's silly to even think that! I wouldn't trade it for 2 digital cameras.
