pomf's Full Review: Polk Audio dX9 Car Speaker
I drive a 1989 Chevy Cavalier z24, and these were the first things i added to my system. Wow! These babies cook! Don't worry about that $230 price tag, i got them for $160 and have seen them for even less. With the lightness of these speakers, i was pleasantly surprised how well they hit the highs, and dwell in the mids clearly. They can handle a lot of power, and i have since amped them with an Alpine 5-channel amp. I have my system set up so that these Polks handle the highs, while my two MTX subs take on the lows. I could NOT be happier. If you want to replace those old factory speakers with brand new ones, or you want to upgrade what you have already, look into these bad boys. The price is right, and the sound is stellar! By the way, most Circuit Cities will let you test them out before you buy them.
