Pros: Layout, MD player, CD player, CD changer controller, FM/AM will play CDR's.
Cons: CD text only works with changer, no sub controls, no mp3 discs
The Bottom Line: Buy it, because I cannot find another one that will play both cd's and minidiscs in a single din size. And still have line in, and cd changer controls.

Great deck, I bought it in March of 1999.
Discontinued, hard to find, but if you can, it will be worth it. Try Yahoo, CNET, Ebay.
I use the deck with a cd changer in the trunk, a four channel amp, a two channel amp, an MTX crossover, two 10's, and 2 pairs of polk speakers.
Great setup. The freedom to play MD's or CD's up front in the car, or listen to the radio, all while still having up to twelve cd's in the trunk waiting for their turn. Not to mention that you have a line input, so you can hook up an MP3 player or cassette if you really wanted to.
You cannot run out of music on a trip with this unit.
Also, all while only in a single din size.
Detatch face, take it with you, this deck will run away by itself.
Great layout, nice display (the clock is always on, meaning that you can see disc#, track#, track time, and the clock) (great for cars that do not have any other clocks except the radio), lots of freedoms. The only drawbacks to it is that it will not play cd's encoded in mp3. But will play cdr's so just convert them to wav.
And the deck does not have sub controls. So you will have to use some sort of an LPL (Low pass Level) (comes with your sub amp sometimes or some crossovers) knob, or crossover to achieve that.
Even without the mp3's, because the suck anyway, and the sub controls, this deck is 100% whatever price you have to pay.
