| shiners's Full Review: Polk Audio RT55I Speaker |
Due to the discontinuation of this model, it has been a while since anything has been posted about the RT55. Nonetheless, I have added a pair to my entertainment system thanks to Circuit City. They were the usual out-of-the-box special that the stores occasionally have on sale. I listened to these speakers many times over before purchasing the pair.
These Polk RT55's are something else. I'm overly picky and must admit that I've finally acquired a pair of speakers that serve my purpose perfectly. I am reasonable enough not to expect sub-like lows from a bookshelf speaker, but I was still surprised at how well these speakers played on their own. The design of the rear port disperses the air very efficiently without any adverse effects. The build quality is superb.
The point is.....these RT55's were just what the doctor ordered. I think any reasonable enthusiast would appreciate the Polk RT55.
