| kdogg's Full Review: RCA RC5220P DVD Player |
The advantages to dvd over vhs are plentiful. The disc lasts a lifetime, no wearing down each time you watch the movie. The picture quality is awesome, you can see the difference in crispness of the screen with one glance. Being able to fast foward to any part of the movie in just seconds also comes in handy, and not having to rewind the movie after watching it is important to me. We paid $300 for our RCA dvd player, and love every attribute of it. The options of watching a movie on dvd vs vhs are unlimited. With newer movies, from the time you push the power button you see the difference. There are usually options to go directly to any point in the movie, watch deleted scenes and whatever else they decided to put on the disc. One thing to look for when deciding which brand to go with when purchasing your player is whether or not you want for dolby digital outputs or just stereo. I personally enjoy getting the most out of my surround sound setup by going all digital. You literally feel like you are in the theatre.
Later.
