| 2twisted's Full Review: JVC MX-J50 CD Shelf System |
A couple years ago I went looking for a good, and good looking stereo for my room. After looking at many I finally decided on the JVC MX-J50. One of the features I love about this stereo is the individual tray CD player. I don't like the 5 disc, single tray CD players because they're harder to load. The one problem with this is that the CD player is a little loud and slow moving from CD to CD Another cool feature of this stereo is the rolling panel. All the buttons you normally wouldn't use that much are located on the panel and pressing a button can hide them. But now there are some problems with this. Firstly, every time you turn the power on the panel rolls down and this can be quite annoying after awhile. Secondly there is no button on the remote to roll up/down the panel. So if you turn it on using the remote, you'd have to get up and press the button to close the panel. The speakers are made of wood and are very sturdy and produce great sound (120 watt x 2). If you are looking for a stereo in the price range of this one (I bought it for $350 Canadian two years ago) then definitely I'd recommend this one.
