I was given this VCR as a Christmas present so it really did not cost me anything! But unlike most things where you get exactly what you pay for this VCR is worth a lot more than nothing. =)
I am impressed with the styling. It is simple but also useful. The VCR itself has an easily recognized group of buttons and a one touch record button. (I used to hate having to push play and record at the same time on some of the old VCRs.)
I like the Control. Not only does it have a unique shape but also has the feature of one button glowing in the dark which helps in finding it. It also has the feature of being able to stand on its end making it a little like a lighthouse when viewed in the dark.
It tapes wonderfully with crystal clear picture. (Well the source has to be decent for the output to be good AKA garbage in garbage out.) I have not bothered with the programming functions. Like most VCRs programming is a complicated process and being in college I did not have time to bother with it. But I am sure given time to read the instructions more thoroughly it would not be very hard to set up.
