The Rio 500 Mp3 music play is light and very easy to use with its Muti Wheel. Download a song or copy it from a CD and you can upload it to your player in under 10 second using USB. The sound quality is great with a bit rate of 128, anything lower you can start to hear the wave effects. Functions are there but limited there is great setting for EQ and programs but you can't display remaining time or use ID tags, which would be useful. The OS on the Rio might look quite simple but it is also upgradeable so these features might be added at a later date. The battery life I believe is excellent because there is no moving parts it almost gets its full 30 hours charge out of a single AA cell. It looks quite Stunning and i think it was well worth the cash!!!
