About 2 months ago after thinking about it for weeks I finally went out and bought a MP3 player. Looking at my choices at Circut City, I ended up with the PMP500. I was about to get the 300 but I thought this one was alot better looking and had better features. However for $140 differece I don't know if it is worty it. Using it primeraly to run my 3 miles, I depend 100% on Napster for my music. The program that comes with the player is relitivly easy to use but can sometimes freeze. It also takes a while to recognize where to download the music, or you will have to waste your time doing it again. Depending on how quick your computer is, it takes only a short time to take a cd and put it on the program which can then put it on your player. In fact in the newest version you are also able to burn cds it. Once you have your songs on the player it is great. I purchased serpreate headphones to listen, but that was my choice. The sound quility is great and it can hold up to 95 minutes, depending on what type of music it is. The major negative of this is how much battery it takes up, it uses more then a Ford Excursion uses gas. Everytime you turn it on and off it seems to loose juice. Another thing is, though I obviosuly doesn't skip, when hit hard, the player will shut off and reset which in turn eats more battery. While you will get 100s of questions about your player and you will be told how cool it is, it is really not worth it. It takes up some much battery and it is a pain to put on new songs. And is Napster is shut down then these players a worthless. However, I would have to say now that I have payed for it, I love to show people and it still gets the work down. I suggest buying it and testing it out, if you don't like it then simply return it. I like it but for those who have little patience it is not a good idea. However you will get a lot of compliments!!!!!!
