Adelphia Ruined My Birthday!

Cons: HORRIBLE COUSTOMER SERVICE!
The Bottom Line: If I could do Direct TV I would, My only other option was Adelphia unfortunately. If you can go with someone else do it! If you can't, I'm Sorry!

Today is August 2'nd. We were supposed to have cable a month ago and we finally got everything today!
The first problem: The installer comes to our house around July 18th, looks around and then tells me he cannot install the cable because I'm not the primary subscriber. He then tells us that we have to make another appointment and I have to be on the list in order to sign for the cable box. We make another appointment for the 31'st of July that’s the earliest appointment we can get. Someone else comes on the 31'st, that person looks around and says we will need to install a whole new system and in order to do that they said that I (the customer) had to go to a strangers house and ask them for permission so that Adelphia can enter their property to climb the telephone pole. I wouldn't have a problem with this if it were my neighbor, since I know them. But the telephone pole was on the other side of the block! I do not know people on the other side of the block.
So after waiting all that time the guy says he couldn't install it that day because he needed me to get permission. I asked him, "Why can't you go get the permission? You are the one who is going to be entering the property!" He then insisted that it was against the rules for HIM to go, that the customer had to do it. I told him there is no way that I will be going over there risking my life, and I called the customer service and explained the situation, they told me that it would be ridiculous for me the customer to do that and that their were no such rules. The cable installer (LIAR) left and said that they would come back tomorrow (August 1st) between 10am-12pm.
Its August 1st after 12, they haven't showed up. It’s also my Birthday! I'm sitting at home like a prisoner on my birthday waiting for these people! 1 PM rolls along, I pick up the telephone and call Adelphia. I said I was sick of waiting I want lunch and they can call me on my Cell Phone.
I go to lunch and no phone call, checked the messages at home and sure enough they called there! (BOZO) I call them back and they are still not at my house. I get home and receive another call with them telling me that they will be there in 15 minutes. They finally get here at 3 PM. This time after all the complaining and threats there was more than 1 person to do the job! They look around and say yeah we will do it, and got started right away.
They get the basic cable installed and they say, "OK, there is good news and bad news!" You have basic cable, picture and everything. We forgot the Box!" HELLO?!?!?!? How in the world can you forget the box when it clearly states that we get digital cable with HBO and SHOWTIME!!! So on my Birthday I still had to deal with Dummies and sit around all day! August 2nd they come again at finally the correct time that they said they would and install the box. We now finally have cable after 1 month of waiting and 24 hours of major complaining.
